Vineyard and terroir

Produced in Niscemi (CL), from vineyards at 100 m a.s.l. on loose soil. The vines are trained to spurred cordon at 6,000 plants per hectare, with a yield of 50 q/ha. The grapes are late-harvested, with the harvest period given as the last week of August.

100% Moscato.

Vinification

Vinified in steel, with malolactic fermentation completed.

Ageing

Twenty-four months in barriques followed by two months in bottle.

Technical data

Terre Siciliane IGT. First vintage: 2007. A fresh, aromatic sweet wine, available in 0.75 L bottles.

Tasting profile

Intense straw yellow, with a delicate Muscat aroma and notes of ripe fruit. The palate is sweet and balanced, followed by a candied-fruit aftertaste. The late harvest emphasizes the grape’s aromatic character while retaining an easy-drinking quality despite the wine’s structure.
