1800\nThe estate belonged to Spirito Zocche, a historic producer and exporter of Barolo to Argentina.\n\n### Early 1950s\nGuido Fogliati bought the estate and continued the winemaking business.\n\n### After Guido Fogliati's death\nThe vineyards continued to be tended regularly, but winemaking stopped for many years. Most of the grapes were sold to large local producers.\n\n### 2016\nGuido and Annalisa, grandchildren of Guido Fogliati, took over the land and its villa and brought the estate back to life. They converted the vineyards to organic farming and completely renovated the building, marking the start of a young, dynamic company, Poderi Fogliati, in Castiglione Falletto, overlooking the UNESCO-listed hills of the Langhe.
