Vineyard and terroir
The Sagrantino grapes grow on steep, south- and southwest-facing clay slopes. The vineyards are farmed biodynamically. Vine treatments are limited to copper, sulfur and biodynamic preparations intended to improve the soil’s humus; no chemical products are used.
Vinification
A long, temperature-controlled fermentation with natural yeasts is followed by 10 days of post-fermentation maceration.
Ageing
The wine matures for at least five years in large Slavonian oak casks that are between five and 70 years old.

Aromatic and well structured.
