Vineyard and terroir
The Montepulciano grapes grow on alluvial soils in the municipalities of Pineto and Roseto degli Abruzzi, at elevations of 50 to 250 metres. Planting density is high, at 4,000 vines per hectare, which helps the grapes reach full ripeness and concentration.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in early October, which allows the best bunches to be selected. Fermentation and maceration take place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and last around 10 days. The approach combines modern winemaking methods with respect for the terroir.
Ageing
The wine rests on its lees for 4 months, which adds texture and depth.
Tasting profile
The colour is vivid. The aromas are fruity and complex. The palate is pleasant, well balanced and full-flavoured, with soft tannins.
