Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from young Nebbiolo vineyards distributed across the Tortonian and Serravallian valleys. The vines grow on calcareous soils at elevations ranging from 280 to 550 metres. Bright exposures and natural ventilation support the variety’s elegance and vertical profile.

Permanent ground cover and spontaneous vegetation have been used for more than five decades to preserve soil structure, encourage microbial life and promote natural balance. These practices foster deeper root systems, water retention and soil oxygenation, helping the vines develop resilience. The estate is certified organic and sustainable under Equalitas. Vineyard work is highly manual, while ongoing research focuses on soil vitality and the biodiversity of flora and fauna throughout the vineyards, surrounding fields and woodland.

Grapes

100% Nebbiolo.

Vinification

The grapes are hand-picked, when possible during the early morning, to retain freshness. For the 2025 vintage, harvesting took place between 12 September and 2 October. Moderate temperatures supported expressive aromatic ripening while maintaining balanced alcohol levels.

A long, gentle maceration preserves vitality and energy while gradually building aromatic complexity. Fermentation lasted up to 20–25 days and was followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation.

Ageing

The 2025 wine matured for approximately four months in stainless-steel tanks. Bottling took place on 16 March 2026.

Technical data

Available in 750 ml and 1.5 L formats.

Tasting profile

Bright garnet in colour. The bouquet opens with vivid wild strawberry, red cherry and raspberry, joined by touches of goji berry, delicate floral nuances and light spices that add depth and complexity. The palate is crisp and dynamic, with juicy red fruit integrated into a clearly defined tannic structure. The finish is persistent, floral, fragrant and appetising.

Vintage notes

The 2025 growing season produced exceptionally high-quality fruit in very small quantities. January was only moderately cold and spring arrived early, signalled by primroses, almond and apricot blossom and an early start to Nebbiolo bud growth. Abundant rainfall demanded careful vineyard protection but also built useful water reserves ahead of a very hot June. Several hail events reduced the crop naturally.

The wider estate harvest began on 19 August and continued through bright days with pronounced day-to-night temperature shifts, preserving freshness and precision. Although limited in volume, the vintage yielded radiant fruit of notable quality.
