Vineyard and terroir
The house's vineyards in Canelli, in the Asti region, produce more than 5,000 tonnes of grapes each year.
Vinification
The recipe is kept strictly secret and has remained unchanged since its creation. Alpine and rare exotic herbs are macerated in alcohol and added to a specially prepared wine base.

Label / history
Gancia Rosso was for several centuries popularly known as "Vermouth Torino". The house was founded in 1850 by Carlo Gancia, creator of Italy's first white vermouth. In 1870, under the Kingdom of Italy, Gancia was appointed exclusive supplier to the royal court and granted the right to use the monarchy's coat of arms. In 1924 it became a supplier to the Vatican, with the right to use the Pope's coat of arms. In 1951 it was named an official supplier to the Swedish royal court. Its products are supplied to more than 60 countries.
