Tasting profile
A mature red colour with purple nuances. The aroma recalls the grapes themselves, accompanied by ripe fruit and jam. Warm, rounded and persistent on the palate, it has a fleshy ripe-grape quality and an aftertaste that reprises the aromas perceived on the nose.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 16–20 °C. Suitable throughout a meal and particularly well matched with red meats and medium-aged cheeses.
Label / history
The wine takes its identity from a Sardinian night filled with stars and auspicious imagery. Its name is linked to Pietro Casu’s Sardinian line “Notte de chelu est custa, dogni sinu de allegria bundare …”; the presentation characterises Nottechelu as dark as night and soft as silk.
