Vineyard and terroir
The name “448 s.l.m.” refers to the altitude of Cantina Girlan’s historic farmstead, situated at 448 m above sea level. The growing area has mineral-rich soils derived from Ice Age sedimentation.
Grapes
A blend of the three principal white grape varieties of the growing area. The individual varieties and their proportions are not specified.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand into small containers to protect them from excessive pressure. They are gently pressed, and the must is clarified through natural sedimentation. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel vats at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine matures on its fine lees in stainless-steel vats.
