Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The name “448 s.l.m.” identifies the elevation of Cantina Girlan’s historic farmstead: 448 m above sea level. The wine draws on three principal red varieties from the local growing area, where mineral-rich soils derive from Ice Age sediments.
Grapes
A blend of the three principal red grape varieties of the growing area. The individual varieties and their proportions are not specified.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and transported in small containers to protect them from excessive pressure. Part of the fruit is destemmed, left on the skins for 12 hours and gently pressed. The balance consists of juice drawn from particularly high-quality grapes.
Ageing
Maturation lasts 5 months in stainless-steel tanks.
