Vineyard and terroir
The Nebbiolo comes from the south- to southwest-facing Rabaja vineyard in the Langhe hills, south of the Giuseppe Cortese winery. The soils are rich in limestone and clay.
Vinification
Fermentation lasts around 30 days in old concrete vats and stainless-steel tanks. The porous concrete helps soften the wine’s texture, while the stainless steel preserves the variety’s distinctive character.
Ageing
The wine ages for 20–22 months in old Slavonian oak barrels, each at least five to six years old. It is bottled without filtration and matures for a further 10 months in the winery’s cellars.
Tasting profile
Exceptionally elegant and well structured, with a complex palate of berry and fruit flavours. The layered nose combines floral notes with touches of wood developed during its long maturation in oak.

An excellent match for meat dishes.
