Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards surround Roseto degli Abruzzi on the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo. They face west and southwest and are planted on medium-textured calcareous clay soils. The vines are trained to pergola.
Grapes
100% Trebbiano.
Vinification
The grapes are gently crushed and destemmed on arrival at the cellar, then pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at 12°C to retain the fruit character. The wine is subsequently fined and filtered before bottling.
Tasting profile
Bright straw yellow. A medium-bodied, balanced wine with good aromatic intensity and persistence. Its fruity and floral profile includes medlar, peach and orange blossom, followed by an intense, persistent palate.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 10–12°C. Pair with risotto, herbed chicken, savoury pies or fish main courses.
