Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The production area encompasses Roseto degli Abruzzi and neighbouring districts on Abruzzo’s Adriatic coast. The vines occupy steep, well-exposed slopes with clay-and-limestone soils. Marked differences between daytime and nighttime temperatures help balance aromatic development and acidity.
Grapes
Montepulciano.
Vinification
The grapes are gently crushed and destemmed on arrival. A four-day cold maceration precedes fermentation in stainless-steel tanks at 24–26°C for 8–10 days.
Tasting profile
Ruby red with garnet highlights. The nose is intense, persistent and fruit-driven, led by wild berries. Full-bodied and balanced on the palate, with light tannins and a clean finish.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 16–18°C with traditional Italian dishes, risotto, pasta or pork.
The winemakers are Francesco De Santis and Rino Santeusanio.
