Label / history
The estate takes its name from the Grace family and a 19th-century windmill on the property. A sculpture outside the winery’s cellars depicts two men carrying a grapevine; the same image appears on Il Molino di Grace labels.
American businessman Frank Grace rediscovered the neglected Volano vineyards near Panzano and, with German banker Gerhard Hirmer, restored them and built a modern winery. Within five years they had established the estate. Enologist Franco Bernabei organized its winemaking. Frank Grace and Franco Bernabei now produce wine under the Terre delle Falcole brand.
