Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The 3 ha of vineyards lie on south- and southwest-facing slopes at 300–400 m above sea level. The vines are more than 20 years old and grow in marl shale and limestone soils, which contribute structure and minerality.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes ferment in stainless-steel vats.
Ageing
The wine matures for one year in barriques: one-third new, one-third previously used once and one-third used more than once. It then rests in bottle for around two years.
Tasting profile
Intriguing and distinctly Tuscan in character, with the energy of Chianti Classico, the wine opens gradually and shows structure, minerality, depth and complexity.
Label / history
Production is very limited.
