Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the estate’s own vineyards in the Panicale area. The estate lies between Lake Trasimeno and the village of Panicale, on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, and has around 20 ha under vine.
Vinification
Merlot is harvested in early September, followed by Sangiovese one month later. The must macerates for three weeks and undergoes malolactic fermentation in oak barrels.
Ageing
The two varieties age separately for one year in new oak barrels. They are then blended before bottling and rest in bottle for a further six months.
Tasting profile
The wine has deep flavour and an inviting, layered bouquet. It combines richness with refined structure and savoury spice, gaining further richness and complexity through maturation.
Serving and pairing
Decant before serving.
Label / history
The Lamborghini family acquired the estate in the 1970s after Ferruccio Lamborghini travelled through the area and was captivated by its beauty. The 2017 wine is presented in a gift box.
