Storia
19th century
The story of the Ferraris winery begins in the 19th century, when Luigi Ferraris emigrated to America during the gold rush. He sent the money he earned from gold mining back to his wife, helping her fulfill her dream of buying a house.
1921
Luigi Ferraris's wife bought a house on Via al Castello, which until recently was home to the Luca Ferraris winery.
Following generations
Her son, followed by her grandson, devoted themselves fully to the family grape-growing business. For many years they supplied their grapes to the local cooperative.
1999
Luca Ferraris earned his degree in oenology and began making his own wine, a turning point for the company. He had always wanted the business to focus entirely on producing high-quality wines.
Today
The Agricola Ferraris estate produces around 130,000 bottles of wine from 18 vineyards covering 25 hectares. Luca Ferraris is the largest family-run agricultural business in the Ruchè region.
Filosofia
Luca Ferraris states: "The philosophy I have always followed in my work is to combine respect for nature, tradition, and technology to achieve the best possible results."
