Storia
Acquisition and restoration
As soon as Magda Pedrini acquired the property in the village of Cà Da Meo, she began restoring both the vineyards and the estate. The hills of Gavi are covered in tuff beneath a thin layer of pale soil, which meant that bringing the land back into use took considerable effort. After a long and costly process of breaking up the tuff and limestone, the vines were planted.
First harvest and growth
The first harvest exceeded all expectations. Since then, Magda Pedrini's elegant, refined wines have continued to reach new audiences year after year and are popular in many countries across Europe and the CIS.
Terroir
The estate is located in the heart of the village of Cà Da Meo, surrounded by three rolling hillsides. The hills of Gavi are covered in tuff beneath a thin layer of pale soil.
Vinificazione
Bringing the land back into use required a long and costly process of breaking up the tuff and limestone beneath the thin layer of pale soil before the vines could be planted. The first harvest exceeded all expectations. Rose bushes are grown among the vines, adding charm while also giving an early warning of pests.
