Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The Vermentino grows on limestone and tuff slopes in Maremma, in the heart of coastal Tuscany. Gentle hills and coastal breezes soften the hot climate, helping the grapes retain their acidity and pure aromas.
Vinification
The grapes are gently pressed, then fermented in French oak barrels.
Ageing
The wine spends a short period of 4–6 weeks in oak, which adds texture and subtle woody notes without masking the character of the grape. After bottling it rests a further two months to come together and find its balance.
Tasting profile
Clear and focused, with a freshness that is calm rather than sharp. Gentle depth and restrained complexity; expressive but not aggressive, balanced. Subtle woody notes from the oak sit behind the grape's character.
Serving and pairing
Suits fish, seafood and simple Mediterranean dishes.
