Storia
The Spinola family has owned vineyards in the Gavi area for centuries. Andrea Spinola, the founder of Marchese Luca Spinola (also known as Tenuta Massimiliana), inherited them.
2006
Andrea Spinola left his career at a large multinational company in Milan and returned to the place where he had spent his childhood. Over the following years he invested in developing the winery. Its wines are now known and regarded around the world, from the United States to Japan.
2015
The youngest members of the Spinola family moved to Rovereto di Gavi.
2016
The winery produced the world's first certified kosher Gavi, now recognised in many European countries and the United States.
Terroir
The vineyards lie 200 metres above sea level in Gavi. Their exposure gives the vines plenty of sunlight throughout the growing season.
Vinificazione
A team of oenologists led by Andrea Spinola continually explores innovative products and solutions, keeping tradition and natural winemaking processes at the centre of its work. In 2016 the winery produced the world's first certified kosher Gavi.
Filosofia
The winery says its team of oenologists, led by Andrea Spinola, explores innovative products and solutions while keeping tradition and natural winemaking processes at the heart of its work. The family says it wants to appreciate the depth of its roots in Gavi.
