Vineyard and terroir
The fruit grows on the Cannubi hill in the heart of Barolo. Its distinctive microclimate and the character of its soil contribute balance, structure and aromatic expression.
Vinification
The wine undergoes fermentation and maceration.
Ageing
Part of the wine matures for around two years in 30- and 35-hectolitre Slavonian oak casks, while the remainder ages in medium-toasted 225-litre French oak barrels. After blending, it rests in traditional large oak casks and continues to develop in bottle. It reaches maturity six years after the harvest.
