Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie on a gentle hillside at the foot of the Marcellise Valley, at 100 metres above sea level, with a north-to-south exposure. The limestone-based soil contains small amounts of clay and stones.
Vinification
Part of the crop is dried for one month in well-ventilated rooms. The remaining grapes are crushed immediately after harvest. The two lots are fermented separately.
Ageing
After fermentation, the wines mature for 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels before being blended.
Tasting profile
The nose offers blackberry, violet and spicy herbs. The palate is rich and mineral, with firm tannins and notable depth. The finish is long and complex.
