Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in the foothills of Marcellise, on the outskirts of Verona.

The blend also includes Corvina.
Vinification
The wine is made using the appassimento method. A portion of the grapes is selected into small individual trays and dried in ventilated lofts for 4–8 weeks to concentrate its aromas; the remainder is harvested at peak ripeness. The two portions are fermented separately in stainless-steel vats. After ageing, the final blend is assembled before bottling.
Ageing
The young wines mature for 36 months in large and small oak barrels.

Elegant and expressive, with intense aromas of cherry, blackcurrant, herbs and spices.
