Vineyard and terroir

The Chardonnay comes from two small plots planted with vines aged 30–40 years.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested and selected by hand. They undergo gentle whole-cluster pressing, after which the must is clarified naturally by static settling and fermented.

Ageing

The wine rests on its lees for 18 months in small oak barrels, followed by one year on the lees in stainless-steel tanks and a further year in bottle.

Tasting profile

The nose is deep, with abundant fruit and spice. The palate is rich and layered, showing fruit, sea salt and roasted nuts. Mouthwatering acidity gives structure to the silky, pronounced texture, maintaining freshness and a slightly tart edge while balancing the vibrant fruit.

Label / history

The name combines “Na” from Nals and “Ma” from Magreid. Cellar master Harald Schraff created the wine as a tribute to the two vineyards from which its grapes come. The 2021 vintage was released as a limited edition of 2,000 numbered bottles.
