Vineyard and terroir
The Riesling comes from vineyards above Nalles in the Adige Valley. The sites lie at 500–750 m with east to south-east exposure; the wine’s terroir description places the vineyard at approximately 500 m on the right bank of the Adige. Porphyry and limestone characterize the soils. The climate ranges from continental to sub-Mediterranean, with warm days and cool nights.
Grapes
100% Riesling.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand. After clarification, the must ferments at low temperature for approximately three weeks in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The young wine remains on its lees for a further seven months.
