The grapes are grown in the Chianti Classico area at 250–320 metres above sea level.
Grapes
The blend contains at least 80% Sangiovese, with a small proportion of other red varieties.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand from mid-September to mid-October. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with local yeasts, followed by 15–20 days of post-fermentation maceration.
Ageing
Half of the wine matures in oak barrels and half in stainless steel tanks for at least eight months. It then ages in bottle for a minimum of three months in the winery’s cellars before release.
Tasting profile
Well-balanced.
