Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in clay-limestone soils at 150–180 metres above sea level on 35-year-old vines.
Grapes
The Pala family has cultivated the same Vermentino clone since 1950 on limestone hills overlooking the Gulf of Cagliari. The variety has been part of Sardinia’s viticultural heritage for 400 years.
Vinification
The grapes are sorted and destemmed before gentle pressing. The must ferments in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of approximately 15 °C with selected yeast strains, after which the wine is clarified.
Ageing
The wine matures for four months in stainless-steel tanks.
Tasting profile
It has a distinctive, full flavour with fresh fruit character.
