Terroir
The winery lies 5 km from Ascoli Piceno, in the Marche region. The vineyards are set in a valley near a gorge called Pantaleone. The land was known for its fertility in ancient times, when the area was named Panatleone, from the Greek "pan" ("all") and "leone" ("lion"). Its all-encompassing power was compared to the strength of a lion, and it was respected for its ability to give generous harvests.
