Nebbiolo comes from the Monvigliero cru in Verduno, at 310 metres above sea level with south-eastern exposure. The predominantly light-coloured limestone soil is crossed by chalky veins characteristic of the commune. The vines were planted in 1968 and 2005.

Tasting profile
A finely drawn, aromatic Barolo with pronounced floral, spicy, savoury and balsamic dimensions. The nose is vivid and layered, while the palate has a focused texture. Its overall character combines elegance and finesse with a distinctive personality.
Label / history
Monvigliero was first vinified in 2000, although its fruit continued to be blended into the estate’s Barolo through the 2007 vintage. The Scavino family acquired the vineyard in 2007, after which it became a separately bottled single-cru Barolo.
