Vineyard and terroir
The Canaiolo vines grow in central Tuscany at 280 m above sea level, on an east-facing site with Pliocene sandy soils. The vines are 25 years old and trained to spur-pruned cordon.
Grapes
100% Canaiolo.
Vinification
The must remains in contact with the skins in stainless steel for 12 hours. After separation from the skins, fermentation continues in stainless steel, followed by static clarification at low temperature.
Technical data
Annual production ranges from 1,300 to 4,000 bottles. The listed bottle format is 750 ml.
Tasting profile
Pale pink with salmon highlights. The bouquet combines pronounced rose aromas with cherry and strawberry. Fresh, dry and easy-drinking, the palate is light-bodied and closes with red-fruit and almond notes.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 10–12°C. Pair with pici in tomato sauce, delicate Tuscan cured meats, white meats or fish.
