Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The Sauvignon Blanc is grown in the Trevenezie IGT area, encompassing Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Veneto and the province of Trentino. The vineyards occupy well-situated sites with stony alluvial soils rich in gravel and sand.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in September and gently pressed at the winery. After a short cryomaceration, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 17–18 °C. The wines in the range are made under the supervision of winemaker Gianpietro Povegliano.
Ageing
The wine matures on its fine lees at a constant temperature until bottling.
Tasting profile
Fresh in character.
Label / history
The range takes its name from the Italian word loggia, referring to the country-style arched porticoes commonly found on Italian buildings and balconies. Traditionally, workers gather beneath them after the harvest to celebrate a plentiful crop.
