Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is grown in the Venice area, at 200 metres above sea level, on stony alluvial soils rich in gravel and sand.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at the end of August and gently pressed at the winery. The must ferments at a controlled temperature of 17–18 °C. Winemaking is supervised by Gianpietro Povegliano.
Ageing
The wine matures on fine lees at a constant temperature of around 12 °C until the spring after the harvest.
Tasting profile
Ageing on the fine lees gives the wine a harmonious, complex structure.
Label / history
The range takes its name from the Italian term loggia, used for the arched country porticoes often found on balconies of Italian buildings. These are traditionally places where workers gather after the harvest to celebrate a plentiful crop.
