Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow in Friuli Grave, in the Magredi, on mineral-rich gravel and sandy soils. These complex, dry alluvial soils were carried down from the mountains by powerful streams and deposited at their base, and they give the grapes and wines their distinctive aromas.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in the middle ten days of September. Maceration is long, lasting 20–25 days at a controlled temperature of around 26–28 °C. Malolactic fermentation follows.
Ageing
After malolactic fermentation the wine matures on fine lees until spring.
Tasting profile
An elegant, delicate Pinot Nero.
Vintage notes
The 2022 vintage won a gold medal at Mundus Vini in 2023 and a silver medal in 2024.
