Terroir
The winery is based in the Veneto region, with its 58 hectares of DOC-classified organic vineyards lying across the plains and hills of the countryside north of Treviso, described as rich and flourishing.
Vinificazione
Farming is organic across the estate's vineyards, a practice that has been part of the Pizzolato family's approach since Settimo Pizzolato helped pioneer organic winemaking in Italy. Water use in the vineyards is reduced through micro-irrigation.
Pizzolato has integrated sustainable practices throughout its production process. Roughly half of the energy used is generated on site by a photovoltaic system installed on the winery roof. The company reduces waste through energy-efficient equipment, uses lighting systems that switch on and off automatically, has installed localized thermostats, and employs plant-based water purification. Every wine produced is certified vegan by the Vegan Society in the United Kingdom and is Non-GMO Project Verified.
Filosofia
The Pizzolato family describes its philosophy as one of seeking to live and work in harmony with nature and the environment, with a deep commitment to organic winemaking. The winery states that this approach helps produce high-quality Italian organic wines offering a genuine taste of their place of origin, reflecting both the local terroir and the family's desire to farm in harmony with nature. The winery describes its many sustainability commitments as putting into practice a promise to respect both the local environment and the local community.
