Vineyard and terroir

The wine comes from Tenuta Plozner at Barbeano di Spilimbergo, in the heart of the Grave DOC area. The vines grow on gravelly soils of alluvial origin and are trained to pergola.

Grapes

100% Pinot Grigio.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested mechanically at physiological ripeness. Classic white-wine vinification includes hyperoxidation of the must, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature of 18 °C.

Ageing

After racking, the wine matures in stainless steel for approximately four months.

Tasting profile

Straw yellow with greenish reflections. The nose is fruity and strongly floral, with violet and acacia notes. The palate is broad and pleasant, combining freshness with a savoury vein and finishing with considerable persistence.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 8–10 °C. Its versatility suits tomato-based dishes, fish soups, aperitifs, young cheeses, cured meats, cooked ham and mortadella.
