Vineyard and terroir
The Guyot-trained vines average approximately 30 years of age and grow at about 500 m. The technical sheet describes sandy, silty soils, while the wine narrative uses the broader sandy-loam description. Planting density is 4,500 vines/ha and yield approximately 8,000 kg/ha, with a must-to-fruit ratio near 70%. The Alpine climate and soils support the wine's fresh, savoury tension.
Grapes
Blend proportions vary by vintage. Latest published vintage (2024): 90% Chardonnay and 10% Sauvignon b. The grapes are harvested and selected by hand, without a drying period.
Vinification
After gentle pressing, the must ferments in lightly toasted oak barriques and remains on the lees. The main presentation specifies new barrels.
Ageing
Published descriptions differ: the concise specification gives five months in new French-oak barriques, while the narrative and 2024 shop release give six months on the lees in new, lightly toasted oak. The technical sheet describes a few months in French-oak barriques.
