Vineyard and terroir
Sangiovese comes from well-exposed vineyards selected for balanced ripening and precise aromatic development. The current wine page characterizes these sites as not being at high altitude.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese.
Vinification
A delicate rosé vinification reveals a lighter-textured expression of Sangiovese without sacrificing depth.
Ageing
The 2024 wine spent approximately six months on fine lees, with 70% held in stainless steel and 30% in barriques. After this period, the two components were racked and blended back into steel in preparation for bottling.
Tasting profile
Pale in colour and dry on the palate, with a crisp, saline profile, natural acidity and mouthwatering tension. Its aromatic and flavour character includes fruit and spice, while the overall style remains bright, fragrant and gastronomic.
Serving and pairing
Designed to work at the table and as an aperitif. Distribution is reserved for visitors to the estate and members of the Poggio Antico Wine Club.
Vintage notes
The 2024 blend was awaiting bottling after final assembly in steel, with bottling planned for late February or the first week of March.
