Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from a 2-hectare vineyard at Loc. Spiaggiole in Montiano di Magliano in Toscana, Grosseto. The site lies at an average altitude of 200 metres, faces south-west and has medium-textured soil of volcanic origin. The 19-year-old vines are planted at 5,000 vines per hectare and trained and pruned to Guyot. Average yield is 1.0 kg per vine.

100% Petit Verdot.
Vinification
Harvest takes place from mid- to late September. Maceration lasts approximately 20 days at about 25°C, and malolactic fermentation occurs in stainless steel.
Ageing
The wine matures for at least six months in tonneaux, followed by three months in stainless steel and a further three months in bottle.
Technical data
Annual production is approximately 2,500 bottles.
Tasting profile
Red with violet reflections, it combines substantial complexity and structure with an intense bouquet of vinous and spicy notes. Blackberry and blueberry provide the fruit component. Freshness balances lively tannins that are well integrated with the wine's extract and structure.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 16–18°C with red meat, aged cheeses, roasts or mixed grills.
