Vineyard and terroir
The wine comes from 1.80 ha of vines at an average elevation of 350 m above sea level. The soils comprise galestro and alberese, rendered in the English presentation as marly and limestone soils. Planting density is 5,600 vines per hectare, and the vines are trained to spur-pruned cordon at a height of 0.80 m. Listed production is 112.50 hL, with availability of 15,000 bottles.
Grapes
60% Pugnitello and 40% Prugnolo gentile.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for eight months in 350 L French-oak tonneaux.
