Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie at an average elevation of 150 m above sea level. The soils combine galestro with sandstone. Planting density is 5,600 vines per hectare, with the vines trained to spur-pruned cordon at a height of 80 cm.
Grapes
The blend is 85% Sangiovese, 10% Malvasia nera and 5% Alicante.
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in tonneaux.
Ageing
The wine matures for 10 months in 400-litre tonneaux.
Technical data
Production is stated as 150 hl, with 20,000 bottles available.

The 2005 vintage received 87 points from Wine Enthusiast.
