Vineyard and terroir
Estate-grown Sangiovese comes from vineyards planted between 150 and 450 metres above sea level. The vines are cordon-spur trained, and harvesting is performed by hand.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese.
Vinification
The must remains in contact with the skins for 24 hours. Fermentation then continues for 25 days at 12 °C.
Technical data
The 2025 vintage has 12% alcohol.
Tasting profile
Rosé in colour, with floral aromas, red fruit—particularly strawberry and raspberry—and spices. The palate combines body and freshness, retaining the lively character of young Sangiovese.
Serving and pairing
Excellent as an aperitif and suitable with seafood, vegetables and soft cheeses.
Label / history
The name comes from an eponymous painting dating from 1888, displayed in the estate's tasting room.
