Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie in the Chianti Colli Senesi subzone. Sangiovese ripens evenly there and keeps fresh acidity and a clear fruit character.
Grapes
Sangiovese forms the core of the blend. A small proportion of other red varieties is added to soften the structure and give the palate extra roundness.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness. Vinification is traditional, at a controlled temperature, with gentle extraction that highlights the juicy fruit, preserves freshness and gives soft tannins.
Ageing
The wine ages for 6 months in stainless steel tanks, which keeps the primary fruit fresh and adds no oak notes. After bottling it rests a further 3 months in bottle, so that its elements come together.
Tasting profile
Expressive, with bright red berry aromas and a distinct varietal character. The fruit is juicy and the acidity fresh, and the tannins are soft and approachable. The palate is round, harmonious and balanced. It is a food-friendly style of Sangiovese.
