Label / history

The wine is dedicated to Don Fiorino Marengo, the parish priest who brought together 19 growers in 1958 and founded Produttori del Barbaresco, following the example of Domizio Cavazza. The cellar was built in the centre of the village, where it remains. Don Fiorino’s initiative, foresight and dedication helped the wider territory regain its standing.

The cuvée pays tribute to the Barbaresco wines of the past. Its philosophy is to assemble grapes from the finest vineyards to make the best possible wine, reflecting the period before separate cru vinification became widespread.
