Vineyard and terroir
The wine comes from the Muncagota MGA. The 2021 technical sheet records a vineyard area of 4.5 hectares, with south-eastern exposure and calcareous-limestone soil. The vineyard owners are Bellora, Lignana and Viglino.
Grapes
100% Nebbiolo.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at 30°C, followed by 28 days of skin contact. Malolactic fermentation is completed.
Ageing
The 2021 vintage matured for 30 months in large oak barrels and a further 9 months in bottle. The general production specification calls for at least 30 months in 25–50 hl oak barrels.
Technical data
The 2021 vintage was bottled in May 2025, with total production of 13,333 bottles. Its expected longevity is 30 years from the vintage.
Tasting profile
Muncagota combines body and tannic structure with floral notes of brushwood, mint and eucalyptus. The vineyard character is expressed through elegance, intense aromas, a refined floral bouquet and a firm tannic finish. The ripe 2021 vintage adds intense red-fruit aromas, balanced tannins and a long finish.

Pair with fresh egg-pasta dishes, risotto, white or red meat, game and venison.
