Vineyard and terroir

Rabajà MGA. The 2021 technical sheet records 3.7 hectares with southwest exposure and clay-limestone soils crossed by sandy veins. Grapes for the release came from vineyards owned by Antona, Arossa, Bianco, Casetta, Lembo, Lignana, Manzone, Vacca and Vezza.

100% Nebbiolo.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at 30°C, with 28 days of skin maceration. Malolactic fermentation is completed.

Ageing

The wine matures for 30 months in oak casks and spends another nine months in bottle. The main specification identifies 25–50 hl oak casks and a minimum of 30 months in wood. The 2021 was bottled in May 2025.

Technical data

Production of the 2021 comprised 19,201 standard bottles and 2,066 magnums.

Tasting profile

Rabajà combines elegance and structure in a notably balanced style. Its characteristic profile is one of considerable complexity and elegance, intense aromas, fragrant fruit and an enveloping body. The 2021 is complex, with intense ripe red fruit, balanced tannins and a persistent finish.

Serving and pairing

Pair with pasta and risotto, white or red meats, and game. Cellaring potential is approximately 30 years from the harvest.
