Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The wine originates from a Chardonnay vineyard in the Diano d’Alba area. It is produced through a collaboration between Guido Rivella and the local winegrower who owns the site, regarded as particularly well suited to Chardonnay. The soil combines clay, limestone and sand.
Grapes
100% Chardonnay.
Vinification
The grapes are pressed with brief skin contact inside the press. Fermentation takes place in a mixture of new and previously used wooden vessels. Malolactic fermentation is completed.
Ageing
The wine evolves in wood for approximately 12 months.
Tasting profile
Deep yellow in colour. The aromatic profile is intense, combining apple, banana and lychee with sweet spices, subtle ethereal nuances and citrus in the background. The palate is fresh, compact, full-bodied and elegant. It is long and well structured, with a pronounced acidic backbone that provides freshness, followed by a warm, buttery finish.
Serving and pairing
Suitable for fish, white meats and medium-aged cheeses.
