Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is selected from Nebbiolo vineyards used for Barbaresco. The clay-and-limestone soils vary with aspect: the south-facing sites have a deep active layer, while the southeast-facing sites are cooler and lighter. Together they contribute elegance and structure.
Grapes
100% Nebbiolo.
Vinification
Fermentation involves brief contact with the skins. The limited extraction is intended to produce a delicate pale-ruby colour while preserving varietal aromas of rose, violet, spice, raspberry and other red fruits.
Tasting profile
An unconventional interpretation of Nebbiolo as a rosé. It has a delicate ruby hue and an inviting fragrance of violet and woodland berries, supported by the variety’s floral, spicy, raspberry and red-fruit character. The wine may be enjoyed for its youthful freshness, yet it possesses enough structure to develop for several years.
Serving and pairing
Fresh alongside aperitifs and starters, while its personality and Nebbiolo character also allow it to accompany an entire meal.
