Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in Umbria. Yields are limited to 80 quintals per hectare, with a planting density of 6,500 vines per unit of area.
Grapes
The blend comprises 80% Sangiovese and 20% Montepulciano.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand in mid-September. The two varieties are picked and vinified separately. After a brief maceration, alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for one year in the same stainless-steel tanks, followed by two months in bottle.
Label / history
Production of the 2014 vintage totalled 30,000 bottles.
