Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is grown in the Maremma region of southern Tuscany.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, with 22–24 days of skin maceration.
Ageing
The wine matures for 18 months in large French oak barrels, followed by 18 months in bottle, developing additional depth and complexity.
Label / history
Roccapesta planted its first vineyards in the 1970s and built a new cellar in 2010.
