The vineyards have moderately soft clay soils.
Grapes
Sangiovese is blended with a small amount of Syrah.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand from late September to early October. The must ferments in steel tanks at 28–30 °C for 20 days.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in 25 hL oak barrels.
