Vineyard and terroir
The production area covers the municipality of Diano d’Alba, whose hills overlook the Bassa Langa at an altitude of approximately 500 m. The best-exposed ridges are known locally as “sörì,” meaning a well-positioned site. Compact, well-drained clay soils rich in calcareous marl support balance between vegetative growth and fruit production.
Cool summer nights at these medium-to-high elevations encourage the development of malic acid. Its transformation during fermentation and maturation contributes freshness and complexity.
Tasting profile
A fruit-forward, ready-to-drink red with pronounced vinous and grapey aromas accompanied by black-fruit notes.
Label / history
San Quirico has worked with the vineyards around Diano d’Alba since 1995.
